Gems are a masterpiece of nature, but it’s the skilled hand of the gem cutter that unleashes their brilliance and beauty. Each gem handles light differently due to the unique optical properties of its crystal structure.
Gems come in virtually every color of the spectrum. For every gem variety, color is the most important factor. Brighter, more vivid colors with a medium tone are the most sought after. However, color preference can also be personal. Just because a color is not the most sought after doesn’t mean it might not be the most beautiful to you.
